• Role Details
The position would manage Risk for Wholesale Credit for the bank and report to Head-Risk.
Responsibilities would include:
• Responsible for Policies of Credit Risk Management of the Bank for Wholesale Banking Credit portfolio so as to align it with the best Risk Management practices. Ensure implementation of the same and have internal governance around the same by incorporating the changes as per risk appetite, business strategy and regulatory changes.
• Building, maintaining and reporting of economic capital models relating to corporate credit exposure of the Bank. Build Governance framework for corporate credit risk modules
• Establishing risk mitigation strategies and controls. Establishing various control to mitigate various risk including framework and limits for concentration risk, tenor risk, industry/ sectoral risk, unrated, unsecured, sensitive and stress sectors, identify weak industries, etc.
• Addressing internal audits and external regulatory requirements/ auditors on Credit Policy, risk modelling, assessment and monitoring requirements relating to corporate credit exposure of the Bank
• Development and implement ECL framework for adequate loan loss provisioning.
• Assessing Credit proposals from portfolio and policy perspective.
• Analysing and reporting on credit risk metrics and trends.
• Presenting the risk outcome to Credit Risk management committee and risk management committee of the Board.
• Keeping abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes affecting credit risk.
• Develop and find tune credit risk stress testing framework as well as enterprise stress testing framework including credit risk.
• Assessing the credit risk framework basis SPARC data submissions to highlight the risk the committee formed for RBS data submission.
• Responsible for analysing various credit risk related regulatory submission and disclosures.
• Collaborating with various departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
• Insights of putting robust PD, LGD and EAD models and allocating capital basis these risk factors. Creating awareness of these model with stakeholders to be adopted by the bank for risk management
• Understanding of Statistical concepts of analysing credit risk data and developing economic capital model and development, back testing and governance of Corporate Credit rating models.
• Sound knowledge of Credit policies
• Knowledge of Credit Risk
• Build and lead the team of corporate credit risk cell/ department.
Qualifications & Experience
The candidate must be minimum graduate from a recognized university. Over and above the said qualification, the candidate must possess minimum one of the following qualifications, as well:
• Financial Risk Management (FRM) from Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP)
• Professional Risk Management (PRM) from Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (PRMIA)
• Graduate in Statistics from a reputed Institute (ISI, IISc, IGIDR, etc.).
• MBA with specialization in Banking and Finance
• Minimum 18 + years of experience of working in a banking / financial institution out of which minimum 5 years in corporate credit risk models and related analytics.
