Manage investment funds and client portfolios, achieving budgeted performance objectives and executing transactions efficiently. Key responsibilities include business development planning, implementing business plans, and achieving set volume, revenue, and profit objectives.
Main responsibilities include:
• Contributing to business development planning and the implementation of business plans to achieve set volume, revenue, and profit objectives.
• Focusing on the achievement of associated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to be monitored periodically.
• Ensuring the application of best market practice across all aspects of portfolio management activities.
• Recommending appropriate pricing structures and policies regarding investment fund management.
• Identifying new business opportunities and contributing to business growth.
• Operating within departmental budget and individually-assigned investment activity parameters.
• Liaising with Group Operations regarding operational… aspects of investment activity.
• Implementing KPIs and best practices for Vice President Investment.
• Promoting cost consciousness and efficiency, and enhancing productivity to minimize cost, avoid waste, and optimize benefits for the bank.
• Acting within the limits of delegated powers.
Education and experience requirements:
• Bachelor degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics.
• CFA or equivalent professional certification is a requirement.
• 12 years Fund/Portfolio Management experience, of which 3 years should have been in a similar role, preferably in the Arabian Gulf.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including report writing) in English, with Arabic an added advantage.
• Ability to communicate confidently with all levels of management.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Good knowledge of the Portfolio Management Business.
• Superior relationship management skills.
• Understanding and awareness of risk management concepts, techniques, and practices.
• Understanding of the relevant laws, regulations, and practices.
• Ability to make decisions and follow through with initiatives.
