Role Description
The Automation Engineer plays a crucial role in the development and execution of automated processes and tests, both on-premises and in the cloud. Automation engineer expected to adhere to all relevant standards and guidelines, ensuring the highest quality of work. This role requires a deep understanding of technology and a strong skill set in scripting, coding, and configuration software. The ideal candidate will also have hand-on experience continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices along with fair knowledge on cloud computing and. This role is pivotal in driving efficiency and accuracy in the organization’s operations.

Your Key Responsibilities Based On Skills.
• Cloud Computing: Understand and apply cloud computing concepts and technologies, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), to automate tests.
• GitHub: Manage source code repositories, perform branching, merging, tagging, and create workflows for automation execution pipeline in GitHub.
• Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Java (mandatory) and Python (good to have), to write scripts that automate the testing process.
• Test Automation Frameworks/Tools: Familiarity with test automation frameworks like Selenium WebDriver, Junit, Playwright, Karate, Rest Assured to automate tests.
• Automation Development: Design and implement automation for web apps, desktop systems, and server-hosted applications.
• CI/CD: Hands-on experience in building Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines to automate the testing process and ensure code changes are tested before deployment.
• Debugging Skills: Ability to debug test scripts, identify and fix errors, and strong problem-solving skills. Interact with team members, customers, and clients to resolve issues.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication with engineers, stakeholders, and customers, including explaining test results and recommendations clearly and concisely.
• Attention to Detail: Ensure tests are accurate and complete. Conduct feasibility analysis of functional sites, develop automation test scripts, document automation test strategy, create an automation test plan, and configure Selenium Test Environment (STE).
• Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work independently to troubleshoot problems and automate tests. They also need to be able to work as part of a team to collaborate on test plans and execution.
Your Skills And Experience
• Methodologies: Experience with Agile and DevOps methodology.
• Programming Languages: Strong experience with Java. It’s good to have experience with Python.
• Design: Experience with design patterns, design structure, and understanding of Application architecture.
• Framework Utility Creation: Experience with standalone and independent framework utility creation.
• Test Automation Frameworks: Experience with test automation frameworks, such as Selenium WebDriver, Junit, Playwright, and Karate.
• CI/CD Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, TeamCity, and GitHub runner.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with decision-making ability.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• SQL: Experience with SQL queries.
• Cloud-Based Testing Tools: Experience with cloud-based testing tools.
• Sprint Delivery : Experience with deliveries in sprints, timelines, and precision work.
• Cloud Computing: Experience with cloud computing.
