Description:
Responsible for business development and portfolio management of commercial banking relationships. Coordinates business development efforts with other officers across lines of business. Collaborates with credit and operations colleagues to underwrite, originate, service, monitor, and collect commercial purpose loans and grow depository, Treasury Management, and Wealth Management relationships. Assumes a visible leadership role by serving the community and the bank as a role model of our operating principles.
Responsibilities:
Maintain regular, proactive contact with customers and prospective customers to maintain a deep understanding of their business, including current performance, outlook and goals.
Create and nurture a network of centers of influence, including accountants, attorneys, and other professionals.
Collaborate with all areas of the bank to be highly responsive to answering customer questions and resolve issues.
Conduct joint calls with other officers, including other… lines of business, to retain and expand the bank’s relationship.
Advocate effectively and ethically for the Bank to the client and for the client to the Bank. Communicate effectively with Borrowers and prospective Borrowers to ensure understanding of Bank’s views, expectations, and requests. Communicate in an effective and timely way internally with other Bank departments including Credit Administration to support having an accurate understanding of the revenue opportunities and risk dynamics of customer and prospective customer relationships.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university strongly preferred.
5+ years in Commercial Banking/Lending role demonstrating robust business development and credit skills, including accounting and financial expertise.
Experience with negotiating complex credit arrangements in the commercial lending arena
