In this… role, your key responsibilities include:
Correspondent Banking and Network Management
Manage all aspects of Correspondent Banking and Network Management activity, including the following responsibilities:
To play a key role in Nostro Account selection, assisting with the execution of payment routing strategies and having responsibility for the ongoing maintenance of ADCB’s extensive Nostro Account Network.
To ensure that ADCB selects payment routing arrangements that serve to optimize the end to end payment journey for both remitters and beneficiary customers, in terms of service delivery and price, always avoiding undue reputational risk and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Regularly reviewing ADCB’s Nostro arrangements in all key currencies, co-ordinating RFP’s and RFI’s where appropriate and required.
Being familiar with charging practices in all primary markets, adjusting payment routing arrangements accordingly.
Work in close collaboration with the rest of FI Coverage and International to support relationship growth.
Negotiate Payment Rebates where applicable and monitor existing rebate arrangements.
Ensure that all key Nostro arrangements are supported by clear SLA’s and transparent pricing structures.
Assist the Remittance Team with partner selection and with the structuring of appropriate SLA’s for H2H arrangements.
Work with treasury to introduce new nostro currencies and reduce the unnecessary use of USD and Euro, with the avoidance of FX leakage.
Monitor outbound payment volume trends by counterparty, country and region, reporting any major fluctuations to relevant stakeholders.
Monitor charge type data for outbound payments (BEN, OUR etc) and negotiate pricing terms accordingly-Remain up to date with all latest industry and product developments
Managing the annual KYC update and for all Nostro accounts, attending compliance meetings and call, filling and reviewing the related documents
New Client Acquisition
Acquire new clients, conduct financial analysis and submit accurate credit applications while ensuring an excellent on-boarding experience in order to achieve assigned acquisition targets and achieve the desired growth in portfolios
Portfolio Management
Offer existing clients new solutions, enrol clients for alternate channels and value added services in order to increase transaction volumes and grow the assigned portfolio
Relationship Management
Review client dossiers to ensure capture current and future needs, identify and respond to customers’ requirements to ensure complaints are resolved within agreed turnaround times (TATs) to build and maintain long-term relationships
Risk Management
Conduct client visits, understand and report on risk profile and highlight/update approving authorities with any changes in order to enable necessary action to be taken
Financial Analysis and Credit Assessment
Conduct analysis on clients’ financial health and needs as well as their industries/markets on regular basis in order to identify lending, selling, and cross-selling opportunities and improve ADCB’s profitability
Conduct credit assessments/appraisals and coordinate the processing of approved credit requests for new clients to ensure a quality and timely credit utilisation process
Cross Selling
Cross-sell various products of ADCB’s portfolio such as corporate finance, project and structured finance, transaction services, debt markets, treasury and Islamic Banking products to existing client based on their requirements in order to contribute to the increase in product penetration and wallet share of the existing clients
People Management
Manage self and team in line with ADCB’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own and employee contribution to business performance
Organise and supervise the activities and work of the team to ensure that targets and objectives are achieved and the business plan is delivered in line with the required policies, processes, procedures and systems
Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures
Implement approved departmental policies, processes and procedures, and ensure employee adherence so that work is carried out to the required standard while delivering the required standards of service to customers and stakeholders
Continuous Improvement
Manage and motivate the team to ensure they contribute to, and participate in, the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programmes and projects in line with the Bank’s standards

• Competitive Salary: The indicative pay range for this role is AED 37,500 – AED 55,000 per month. Additionally, all employees are eligible to participate in one of our rewarding variable pay plans.

• At least 7 years of experience in banking, managing relationships and a portfolio mainly of clients of Financial Institutions
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
