Job Description*
We are looking for a passionate Scrum Master with expertise on ITSM (IT Service Management) principles leveraging JIRA and Remedy as a Project and Change management tools. Typically, responsible for coordinating and overseeing the delivery of software or systems within the organization. The role involves managing the end-to-end agile delivery lifecycle, ensuring that changes and updates are implemented smoothly and efficiently while minimizing disruption to services.
Scrum Master II / Technical Release Manager is responsible for defining the technical release, planning, coordinating, managing, communicating and delivery of application releases along with aligning Business requests, Enterprise technical direction, and priorities to define application releases that meet organizational goals.
The Release Manager is the owner of all end-to-end activities and artifacts in the SDLC and the key communicator between all members of the team (Business Process Owners, Business Annalists, Quality Assurance Teams, Project Management Office, Infrastructure Platform Services, Production Support teams, and others).
This person will lead the successful delivery of releases from the planning phase all the way to Production implementation and monitoring. In addition, this individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to monitor release status, identify and remediate issues, validate completion of all release activity, and escalate risks and issues as required.
Responsibilities :
• Defining the technical release, planning, coordinating, managing, communicating and delivery of application releases along with aligning Business requests, Enterprise technical direction, and priorities to define application releases that meet organizational goals
• Managing and owning all end-to-end activities and artifacts in the SDLC and the key communicator between all members of the team (Business Process Owners, Business Annalists, Quality Assurance Teams, Project Management Office, Infrastructure Platform Services, Production Support teams, and others)
• Leading the successful delivery of releases from the planning phase all the way to Production implementation and monitoring
• Monitoring release status, identifying and remediating issues, validating completion of all release activity, and escalating risks and issues
Experience as an Agile Scrum Master
• 10+ years of experience around release management, technical delivery, program management, Portfolio management, software releases
• 5+ years in a similar role such as Scrum Master, Release Manager, Program Manager, Portfolio Manager
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in Application Risk Management, ERP Process
• Proven success and accountability in leading and managing large scale application delivery
• Extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication
• Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of users and subject matter experts within all levels of the company
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Information Systems
• Scrum Master Certification
• Experience with ITSM Remedy
• ITIL Certification
• Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and management of metrics to measure and improve the quality of the releases
• Strong Leadership Skills to drive teams towards successful delivery of release plans and that motivates team to achieve and maintain quality in a creative and effective manner
• Experience with RISE System to manage Application Risks and Tasks
JIRA Administration:
• Proficient in JIRA as a project management and issue tracking tool.
• Serve as the primary administrator for JIRA, our project management and issue tracking tool.
• Configure workflows, customize fields and screens, and create dashboards and reports to support release management activities.
• Provide guidance and support to teams using JIRA, ensuring its effective utilization throughout the release process.
• Should have good hands-on experience in JQL queries
