Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the development and management of our Payments and Foreign Exchange (FX) products. The successful candidate will be… responsible for crafting the product direction, enhancing customer experience, and driving business outcomes within the designated product stream for Everyday Banking & Payments products, with a focus on retail banking.
Responsibilities
Product Development
• Design FX products based on market needs and define requirements for product implementation
• Develop a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
• Define and commercialize the product strategy, actively scanning the external environment to identify risks and opportunities to the product line
Product Lifecycle Management
• Own the end-to-end client journey, ensuring core processes support the product and deliver the right outcome for clients
• Manage discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
• Execute the product roadmap and customer-facing developments
Compliance and Risk Management
• Work cross-functionally with control functions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk frameworks
• Own periodic product reviews, overseeing regulatory compliance, adherence to operating models, and ownership of regulatory impacts
• Maintain control and flexibility to decide what fees to charge customers
Leadership
• Develop and communicate a clear vision for the product
• Lead and inspire the team to achieve business outcomes, demonstrating strong leadership skills
• Collaborate with various teams across the business to realize the product strategy
Customer Insights
• Generate actionable insights from data to guide product decisions and track progress
• Define and monitor success metrics for the product, optimizing the proposition continuously
• Research and advocate for the voice of customers using Payments & FX features, identifying pain points and developing new features to address their needs
Payments & FX SME Knowledge
• Understand the lifecycle for payments processing used by banks and Fintechs, including banking products, integration with banking platforms, payment systems, PSPs, payment schemes, and transaction processing
• Knowledge of Payment regulations and Scheme compliance requirements
Skills & Experience
• Product Management experience, with a focus on payments & FX
• Track record of building and launching payments and FX product successfully.
• Preferred experience in start-up/fintech product teams and exposure to banking, financial, and professional services
• Strong experience in leading multidisciplinary teams to meet strategic business objectives
• Data literacy and experience in using analytics to inform decision-making
• Pragmatic in managing trade-offs between scope, resource, and time

• Always act in good faith towards customers, avoid causing foreseeable harm, and enable and support the Bank’s clients /customers to pursue their financial objectives. As related to your role, you should monitor, assess, understand and evidence how you are acting to deliver good outcomes to clients and customers as per the FCA’s Consumer Duty regulations.
