Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Banking Officer to join our dynamic team on a fixed-term contract (3 – 6 months) to cover maternity leave. You will play a key role in onboarding new clients, maintaining customer accounts, and ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
Main responsibilities:
1. Handle new account documentation to ensure that all of the Bank’s Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements are met and all relevant searches are carried out for approval.
2. Assist in setting up and monitoring of new customers accounts, opening and closing of accounts, all aspects of ongoing account maintenance etc.
3. Review customer due diligence (CDD) for new onboarding clients, conducting know your customer review for existing clients and preparing related reports covering customer profiles and risk assessment (both Periodic and Trigger Event Driven).
4. Handle operations tasks in retail department including internet banking A/C registration and maintenance, customer and account information maintenance, account opening and closure and other assigned retail banking transactions.
5. Perform administrative and operations support tasks. (e.g. customers file maintenance, documents follow-up and filing).
Job requirements and skills:
• Working experience in handling Operations in banks and financial institutions, including but not limited to account opening, KYC, CDD/EDD,and all the other banking transactions.
• Knowledge of retail banking rules, procedures and regulations (e.g. KYC, AML)
• Strong attention to details, Problem-solving skills and self-motivated.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of banking software and MS Office.
