Assistant Manager Investment Advisory Governance- Private Banking (Emiratisation)
Job Description
The Assistant Manager – Investment Governance will support the development, implementation, and oversight of robust governance frameworks and processes to ensure effective management of the organization’s investment portfolio. This role involves monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements, assisting in the evaluation of investment opportunities, and ensuring alignment with corporate policies and strategic objectives. The position will play a key role in enhancing transparency, accountability, and decision-making processes within the investment governance function while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to optimize portfolio performance and risk management.
Responsibilities
Ensure to conduct call back as and when the trades are routed to the call back officer in FINIQ and conduct call back to onboard Lombard clients based on requests received via email from segments.
Ensure call back is conducted based on the respective call back scripts designed and uploaded in the Mashriqi Intranet.
Support the implementation of internal control and governance standards for onboarding Investment Clients.
Ensure the unit is adhering to efficiency, best practice, and control through benchmarked services delivery & operational standards within the framework of SOPs, policies & CB and SCA regulations.
Be aware of requirements laid down by Central Bank, SCA (Securities and Commodities Authority) and Compliance and provide guidance to front end staff to implement the same.
Create System Operating Procedures, monitoring of Key Risk Indicators in line with Operational Risk framework, Business Risk policies and Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).
Conduct regular reviews, follow-ups, and implement ongoing improvements and aim to reduce the operational and Risk losses.
Work effectively with RM’s in wealth to understand client needs and help resolve issues.
Ensure look back exercise on compliance reviews and relevant updates are completed within the stipulated time period.
Qualifications
3 to 5 years of solid banking experience in operations environment with a thorough understanding of banking product and implication of operational risks with a pro-active approach to problem solving.
Excellent working knowledge of process design & banking systems.
Knowledge of banks SOP, Operation Procedure Manual (OPM), Procedures Manual (APPM), AML & KYC Policy, and compliance.
