• *EMEA Branch Support** in IT GCIO Bank User Solutions provides IT infrastructure and desktop support services to Credit Suisse branch offices in Europe and the Middle East. The Middle East & Turkey (ME&T) region comprises multiple offices across the region, with a regional hub in Dubai.

The Qatar office currently consists of two business legal entities and is expanding significantly, incorporating another legal entity which will be built up as a “Technology Innovation Hub”. This will comprise back office and IT functions that provide global support to the bank. The expansion will increase the staff from 30 to 130 over the next 2-3 years. The Qatar country manager will be a senior member of the ME&T GCIO team, working with the Regional GCIO Manager in Dubai, responsible for ensuring the appropriate Bank User Support and Infrastructure services are provided to all entities in Qatar.

Activities range from L2 proximity… desktop support to contribution to IT project deliveries as well running service delivery from the hub sites of other IT services such as hosting and collaboration services

The role will entail:

– Being the IT Infrastructure Branch Manager responsible for the all aspects of the It Infrastructure related aspects in the Branch (provider management, staff management, etc.
– Facing off to senior Qatar business stakeholders representing the It Infrastructure services
– Responsible for management of IT Infrastructure service delivery to the Qatar office, including proximity desktop support, collaboration services and hosting (server/storage/network) and collaboration (M365, Teams, videoconferencing, voice recording) services
– Service governance and management – attending formal review meetings to assess and manage the quality of service delivery, using the ‘3rd party risk management’ and Intergroup Service Management frameworks
– Provide a stable infrastructure and desktop support capability, with a focus on achieving the best possible User Experience.
– Coordinating and delivering IT infrastructure projects (eg office expansion/move, lifecycle activities, deployment of new products and services such as Microsoft 365)
– Coordination Information security topics, such as responding to regulatory and audit requests, and ensuring compliance with the new Qatar Data Protection laws
– New joiner onboarding, including training and information security awareness
– Management of the IT infrastructure budget and
– Coordination of annual BCM testing activities
– Management of external IT supplier relationships

Success in EMEA Branch Support Qatar entails:

– Assuming overall accountability for all IT infrastructure stability
– Promoting collaboration across teams and within the broader IT ME & Turkey region
– Focusing on client service, appropriate stakeholder management and accompanying the business to realize its strategy
