Responsibilities:
• Independent thinker, who will proactively identify and resolve complex financial tasks head on
• Collaborative, and can support sector execution on M&A and the full suite of investment banking products
• Client focused, and will build relationships both internally on the team and across the floor, as well as externally with our sponsor and corporate coverage universe
• Team focused, and will help to build team culture and develop skills of junior bankers
• Dynamic, and able to work across CMG verticals including metals and mining, chemicals, and energy transition
• Thoughtful, and will deliver creative and correct solutions directly to both senior bankers and clients alike
Skills & Qualifications:
• A university degree in finance, economics, business administration, mathematics, or related technical field
• 1-2 years experience (full time or internships) in investment banking including both idea… generation and transaction execution (with focus on M&A)
• Excellent financial modelling experience (operating models / DCFs, merger models, LBOs)
• Robust understanding of asset and corporate valuation and ability to prepare excel models and powerpoint decks
• Solid financial and accounting skills
• Passionate and motivated to develop your career and relationships both within UBS and with your clients
• Strong communication skills
• Previous experience in investment banking role in metals and mining, chemicals, energy transition, or other industrial sector is preferred but not necessary
• Proficient in spoken and written English is essential; additional languages are a plus but not required
