The World Bank Group is seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as an Extended Term Consultant (ETC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in international business development, finance, and economics. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience working in international environments, preferably with governments or private sector companies in project development, sector reform, and project finance.
The ETC will be responsible for developing and operationalizing a strategic framework for engaging government and private sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, ensuring MIGA’s engagement with the highest level of policymakers, and focusing on business development by building relations with new clients, including development financial institutions, private sector players, and government entities in KSA.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain a good understanding of KSA key economic and political issues.
• Contribute to the development of action plans and workstreams to implement guarantee business and targets with a focus on origination.
• Identify new business opportunities in the country.
• Identify, build, and maintain high-level relationships with key stakeholders, including relevant government policymakers and officials, private sector clients across various sectors, and especially those Saudi investors expanding outside GCC.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• A Master’s degree in international business, finance, economics, environment, and climate, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of working experience in international environments, preferably with governments or private sector companies in project development, sector reform, and project finance.
• Experience and deep knowledge of the government and business community in KSA.
• Preference will be given to candidates with an existing network with Saudi policymakers and private sector representatives.
• Broad knowledge of WBG product lines would be an advantage.
What We Offer
The World Bank Group offers a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, which includes a range of benefits such as health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. Our salaries are pegged to the local market conditions and adjusted accordingly.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
