Our hybrid set up is 3 days per week in office and 2 from home

Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Control

Job Purpose

To ensure sound accounting practice is followed at EAB London branch, with consideration given to local laws and regulations. To report to local supervisory and tax authorities. To ensure integrity of the control environment surrounding the bank. To actively participate in plans for automating processes and maximising effectiveness. To coach and develop more junior members of the team.

Principal Accountabilities & Duties

Develop, monitor and review control activities performed e.g. journal controls, day to day control over balance sheet and P&L, account reconciliations etc.

• Monthly consolidation and reporting to the Parent Company.

• Co-ordinate the production of accurate monthly… and year-end Statutory Accounts and Annual Report for all UK entities on a timely basis.

• Ensure all tax reporting requirements are met, including operational and fiscal reporting.

• Ensure the Bank’s Financial Statements meet all disclosure requirements including those related to Climate Risk

• Handle the Implementation of new products including associated accounting treatment under IFRS.

• Manage the relationship with Internal and External auditors.

• Assist with other Finance projects as they arise.

• Build effective working relationships with business and other support functions.

• Endeavour to minimize processing and enhance efficiency through the use of electronic data. This will include improving and developing existing manual processes in the financial and regulatory reporting team.

• Train and develop junior members of the team by improving system and process knowledge.

• Perform any other duties as he/she may be called upon to perform.

Risk & Regulatory Duties

• Maintain knowledge of all applicable regulatory requirements including the Bank’s Risk and Compliance policies and procedures and adhere to these to avoid exposing the Bank to undue risk.

• Report policy/procedure breaches and areas of potential non-compliance and suspicions promptly upon identification in accordance with the Bank’s Risk and Compliance policies.

• Accurately execute all controls within own area to minimise risk of policy, procedure, and/or regulatory breaches.

• Identify new risks/control gaps within own area and escalate accordingly to your Line Manager and/or Head of Department.

Training & Competence

• Complete all annual mandatory regulatory refresher training as per the Bank’s training plans and deadlines.

• Proactively seek to complete recommended technical and behavioural competencies training required for your role.

Data Governance

• Appointed Data Steward supporting the Data Owner in representing the interests of the Data Domain and responsible for the application of the Data Governance Policy.

Conduct

• Act in accordance with the FCA/PRA Code of Conduct.

Business Continuity

• Fulfil all prescribed business continuity requirements as set out in the organisational or departmental specific plans or as instructed by the Line Manager/Head of Department
