The Role
Finance Officer/Financial Accountant (Boutique City based Bank)
Martis Search are representing a boutique City based Bank, to hire a “Finance Officer/ Financial Accountant” to join their Tax/Finance Team.
For this role, our client needs some-one that is happy to do a range of “back office” type Finance tasks.
For this reason, our client needs someone to commit to this type of Operational Back Office Accounting role, so do not want to hire someone who then wants to use it as a stepping stone. It would not suit someone with this type of career goals.
The role is a permanent role and reports into a Head of Tax and Finance. The team is small so is a “hands-on” Finance Accountant role. The role is hybrid and you will be expected to be in the office x 2 days a week.
The person will be responsible for but not limited to:
Management reporting
• Monthly, Quarterly and Annual accounting review of SAP and provision of relevant posting entries.
• Perform the Transfer pricing… calculation and assist the Head of Finance/Tax
• Perform the VAT Returns and assist the Head of Finance/Tax
• FCA reporting for Compliance.
• Fixed Asset accounting
• PSA Return calculation in conjunction with Head of Finance/Tax,
• Provide accounting analysis for Corporation Tax and VAT as required
• Pension Accounting
• Departmental Budget Planning
• Assisting staff with invoicing and expense claims in SAP.
• Ad-hoc duties
About you:
Strong relevant Financial Services experience ideally in Banking
General accounting experience of IFRS.
SAP experience
Strong Excel skills
Good understanding of VAT and Tax knowledge.
Salary
£65,000 k pa – £70,000 k pa dependent upon experience, plus discretionary bonus, a very good pension, plus Healthcare, Life Assurance, Income Protection
