Job Summary
Private and Traded Credit (“PTC”) sits within Syndicate & Financing Risk, CIB and: 1) manages a senior loan warehouse to support distribution by holding and distributing SCB originated assets other than in the Bank’s Hold and Underwriting books; and 2) provides comprehensive debt capital structure solutions to clients via the Bank’s Private Credit Strategy. PTC subscribes to Term Loans, TLBs, RCFs, B2Bs, Unlisted Share Financings, Unitranches, PIK notes and Mezzanine and Junior financings.
Strategy
Key Responsibilities
• Support PTC offering and contribute to the formulation and successful execution of CIB strategy and CP by growing RoTE and PBT.
• Support the strategic directions of the Loan Warehouse and Private Credit strategies Support new models/product implementations as necessary to grow Originate & Distribute strategy.
Business
• Partner with colleagues within Syndicate & Financing Risk and origination teams within Global Credit Markets, Client Coverage and FM… Sales, with the goal of executing profitable trades for both strategies.
• Contribute to the evolution of PTC’s product offering over time, to improve its maturity and profile within CIB and amongst the Bank’s clients.
• Work with Regional and Product Heads to identify initiatives to grow the PTC franchise.
Processes
• Ensure all assets are properly and timely priced following the Independent Price Verification process and according to the fair value of the asset in the market.
• Trade within the parameters set out in the candidate’s Trading Mandate and in accordance to the FM Code of Conduct.
• Strictly follow the Compliance guidelines in terms of appropriate usage of communication channels, access to confidential information and safekeeping of client and trade data, remote working arrangements, as well as knowledge of Cross Border activities; plus, any other requirements set out in the Private Side Origination and Distribution manual.
• As First Line of Defence in the Bank, ensure the desk adheres to all processes applicable and work close with the relevant stakeholders and Global COO to fix any potential issues which may arise.
People & Talent
• Work closely with colleagues and other stakeholders, including but not limited to Origination & Distribution colleagues, Special Situations and Portfolio Analysis, Risk, Legal, Compliance and Operations.
• Have an inclusive mindset, and align with SCB’s desired human resource qualities, and the people culture desired within FM.
Risk Management
• Ensure that trades booked in the Loan Warehouse and Private Credit portfolios comply with issuer, sectorial, geographical, and ageing limits set by Risk.
• Promote a working environment where compliance with internal control functions and the external regulatory framework is a central priority of the business.
• Ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations and procedures.
• To embed Operational Risk monitoring as an integral part of the business process. Towards this, to effectively carry out the assigned role, if any, under Compliance Risk Management and Operational Risk Management Assurance.
• Ensure that the business meets its obligations the prevention of money laundering under the Group Policy and Standards and under local laws and regulations.
Governance
• Ensure business functions under the desk’s area of responsibility comply with internal policies, procedures, codes and applicable external laws and regulations and adhere to the expected high standards set out in the FM Code of Conduct.
• Responsible for delivering ‘effective governance’; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.

Qualifications
• Key Requirements / Experience & Skills:
• Demonstrated experience in credit structuring and analysis
• Track record of leading complex financing transactions
• Recent experience in leveraged lending and / or direct lending
• Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
Educational Qualifications
• Relevant degree from a reputable university
