The Division is accountable for technology design, development and operations for all applications and systems that provide services to the Prudential Regulation Authority.

Job description

We welcome applications from expert Delivery Managers to join the division and be part of the wider delivery management function within Technology.

As the Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of agile IT delivery leading to the successful end-to-end implementation of IT solutions.

You will lead with energy and passion to achieve the outcomes required by the Bank, whilst motivating the IT delivery team, acting as servant leader enabling them to meet commitments and be at their best.

Responsibilities include:
• Championing agile delivery methodology and build understanding and capability across the division
• Facilitating cross-functional groups to plan and deliver projects – identifying which methodology best fits the needs and style of the team.
• The agreement of scope and delivery plans in conjunction with Product Owners, resource managers, Business representatives and Project Managers.
• The management of key technology deliverables, working within agreed processes, leading to successful delivery against plan.
• The coordination, planning of Technology activities and dependencies achieve required work packages
• The reporting of progress against plans to the Project Manager, managing or escalating exceptions as required
• Facilitating agile ceremonies, performing the SCRUM master role
• Facilitating the creation of IT estimates that feed into the project budget
• Possible opportunities to line manage people in the division.

Role Requirements

Essential Criteria
• Proven successful delivery of IT projects in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Ability to engage, motivate, coach and mentor others to meet the team commitments
• Demonstrable experience of building trusted and open working relationships across the organisation and at varying levels of seniority.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to plan for the whole IT delivery considering dependencies, risks and issues, feeding into the overall project plan
• Good solid understanding of Jira, Confluence, MS Azure or similar packages.
• Experience of software technology and development processes, particularly Scrum, Kanban, Test Driven Development and agile delivery

Desirable Criteria
• Ideally experienced with associated IT qualifications such as ITIL, or other associated indicators of a proven background in technology change management.
• Experienced in commercial awareness and supplier management.
• People management experience

Salary and Benefits Information
We encourage flexible working, part time working and job share arrangements. Part time salary and benefits will be on a pro-rated basis as appropriate.

This role offers a salary of circa £51,870-£59,850. In addition, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package as detailed below:
• A non-contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/95th of your annual salary for every year worked. There is the option to increase your pension (to 1/50th) or decrease (to 1/120th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year.
• A discretionary performance award based on a current award pool.
• A 8% benefits allowance with the option to take as salary or purchase a wide range of flexible benefits.
• 26 days’ annual leave with option to buy up to 12 additional days through flexible benefits.
• Private medical insurance and income protection.

Employment in this role will be subject to the National Security Vetting clearance process (and typically can take between 6 to 12 weeks post offer) and the passing of additional Bank security checks in accordance with the Bank policy.
