About the business area:

ADCB prioritises a disciplined approach to risk, recognising its fundamental importance to the Bank’s long-term organisational and financial resilience. Group Risk Management oversees the implementation of ADCB’s risk objectives, identifying and addressing gaps in the bank’s risk infrastructure/framework. Their responsibilities include nurturing the independence of the risk function, establishing provisioning policies, and introducing changes to energise risk awareness among front office personnel and decision-makers. Continuously tuning the risk organisation in line with market best practices, they manage ADCB’s portfolio and associated risks to international standards, while establishing a clear risk culture across all areas of operation.

In this role, your key responsibilities include:
• Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA): Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), analysing the resulting data risks, identifying mitigating controls and reporting on areas of non-compliance to ensure adherence to Data Privacy regulatory requirements

Monitor the implementation of the improvements identified within the DPIAs to ensure compliance is achieved within the agreed turnaround times (TATs)
• Data Privacy Framework, Operating Model and Governance: Monitor the ADCB Group’s Data Privacy framework and operating model that ensures compliance against applicable laws, regulations and effective Data Privacy practices in order with the Bank’s risk appetite and maintain the lawful processing of personal data.
• Awareness, Advice and Guidance: Monitor changes to relevant local and international Data Privacy laws, analysing the impact on ADCB Group in order to make recommendations to the Data Steering Group. Create and deliver Data Privacy training to Business Units (BU) in order to raise awareness and ensure compliance to Data Privacy regulations.
• Managing Business-as-Usual Tasks: Log and review Data Subject Requests (DSR), Privacy Risk Assessments, Privacy Notice Reviews, Documenting Records of Processing Activity in order to provide a timely response. Manage the Data Privacy Mailbox in order to classify incoming queries and providing timely response, logging any Privacy Incidents and Supporting Investigations.
• Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures: Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders.
• Self-Management: Manage self in line with the Bank’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own contribution to business performance.
• Customer Service: Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the Bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions.

The ideal candidate should have the following experience:
• At least 4 years of experience in Data Privacy and Data Management.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related subject.
• Knowledge in data privacy laws, including General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
• Interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of legislation/standards for the protection of personal data and privacy
• Awareness of applicable data-related laws and regulations
• Analytical Skills
• Report Writing Skills
• Excellent communication skills in English

• Competitive Salary: The indicative pay range for this role is AED 13,000 – AED 21,000 per month. Additionally, all employees are eligible to participate in one of our rewarding variable pay plans.
