The Data and Analytics (D&A) Skills and Culture Hub (SCH) is part of the Data & Analytics Transformation Directorate. We enable the Bank to make the best use of its data and analytics through upskilling, connecting users across the Bank to the support and services they need and nurturing a supportive and collaborative culture.
This role is within the Skills and Learning Team in the SCH. It is our team’s responsibility to design, create and deliver learning and support solutions to build and enhance D&A skills across the Bank. We do this in 2 ways:
• structured or tutor-led learning portfolio. This includes formal training courses and self-paced learning resources, for example.
• peer-to-peer and collaborative learning through the Data Community. Over 1,600 colleagues are members of this community.
Much of what we do in the Skills and Learning Team is focussed on working with colleagues from across the Bank, and all levels of seniority to help and support them. So this is a great… role for someone who enjoys regular engagement with a range of people and has a strong customer focus. This role sits in the structured learning part of the team and has 3 main areas of responsibility.
Learning Service administration : This accounts for around 70% of the role. The successful delivery of the learning we offer depends on it being well organised. As part of the Bankwide data and analytics strategy we have been and will continue to increase the learning we offer which in turns requires more support to make it happen. The role holder will work with the other Learning Administrator on the team to provide this. The key areas of responsibility are:
• Ensuring trainers and learners have everything they need for the courses (for example sending and managing diary appointments, sending pre and post course communications, keeping templates up to date, maintaining training material, recording attendance)
• Managing course and attendance information in our learning management system (One Bank Service).
• Completing the ‘no show and cancellations process’ to chase attendees who have diary clashes to confirm whether they are attending the course.
• Building relationships with our internal trainers and other key contacts to maintain a positive and professional image of the service provided by the team.
• Maintaining relationships with external training providers and organising sessions they deliver for us.
• Using the Data Community as a communication channel to promote the learning service and advertises courses.
• Dealing with queries that come into our Learning Team mailbox.
• Co-ordinating tool User Forums. These are regular sessions for users of our data science and analytical tools to network, learn how others are using the tools, hear from guest speakers and so on. These help to build user communities for these tools.
The other two main areas of responsibility are:
• Secretariat for Skills and Culture Working Group
• This group meets quarterly and is made up of our key stakeholders. The group inputs to our upskilling initiatives to ensure we are considering views from across the Bank. The role holder will provide secretariat services for the group such as reaching out for and collating agenda items, producing packs for meetings, taking notes/actions and circulating to the group.
• Supporting the Skills and Learning team
• Provide support to the team by ensuring that all team meetings/weekly catch ups/sessions for new joiners are scheduled as needed, team email and Filesite groups are maintained as well as dealing with ad hoc queries and support requests.
• Managing the agenda, notes and actions for the monthly Skills and Learning Team meetings.
• Liaise with other teams in DSID to assist on activities that require collaboration with the Skills and Learning team.
Essential Criteria:
• Strong organisational skills to successfully manage multiple tasks at the same time.
• Strong interpersonal skills are crucial for this role. The job holder must interact in direct and indirect ways with colleagues at and range of levels and from across all areas of the Bank. The job holder should be enthusiastic and excited about the work of the team and division and that they use this enthusiasm to encourage and engage others.
• Collaborative approach to working and a customer service focus.
• Ability to switch between tasks at short notice, react calmly if things don’t go to plan and take actions to resolve the situation.
• Good understanding of communications channels and options to ensure that the right ones are used at the right time. Be able to communicate effectively, creatively and with impact in both written and visual formats.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft suite of tools.

Salary and Benefits Information
We encourage flexible working, part time working and job share arrangements. Part time salary and benefits will be on a pro-rated basis as appropriate.
Leeds ranging from Leeds range: £24,240 – £27,240 & London range: £26,960 – £30,330.
In addition, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package as detailed below:
• A non-contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/95th of your annual salary for every year worked. There is the option to increase your pension (to 1/50th) or decrease (to 1/120th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year.
• A discretionary performance award based on a current award pool.
• A 8% benefits allowance with the option to take as salary or purchase a wide range of flexible benefits.
• 26 days’ annual leave with option to buy up to 12 additional days through flexible benefits.
