Compliance Officer
• PermanentÂ
• City of London (5 days in the office per week)
• Paying up to £55k
We are currently working with an international bank based in the city of London who are looking for a compliance officer to join their team asap.
Purpose of the RoleÂ
To play a key role in ensuring the Bank fully complies with the full scope of financial crime systems and controls required for UK authorised and regulated banks.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
• Review and authorise risk-based trade finance referrals.Â
• Deliver bank-wide training through the portal tool, periodic bank-specific briefings face to face sessions (after gaining familiarity with the Bank’s products and services).Â
• Maintain and periodically review the Bank’s legal and vendor databases.Â
• Maintain designed Compliance Registers to ensure regulatory compliance and support monthly reporting.Â
• Complete thematic review tasks as assigned through Compliance… Monitoring Programme (CMP).Â
• Conduct sanctions screening for ad-hoc and in-flight transactions using industry standard tools.Â
Skills, Attributes & CredentialsÂ
• Qualifications – industry related diploma, e.g. ICA, ACAMS, AFB and/or a degree or relevant higher education diploma.Â
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Compliance function with minimum one year supervisory experience.Â
• Ability to navigate and interpret UK regulations (including PRA/FCA rulebooks) and JMLSG Guidance.Â
• Ability to undertake thematic reviews covering a broad spectrum of UK regulatory requirements.Â
• Microsoft office competence.Â
• Strong ability to undertake presentations and manage bank-wide training programme.Â
