About the Role
This key position as a Commercial Banking Lead within our Regional Commercial Team will play a pivotal role in driving business growth through strategic lending and customer relationship management.
You will be responsible for managing an active portfolio of commercial banking customers, working closely with Business Development teams and Lending Directors to convert leads and expand our client base.
Additionally, you will develop and maintain influential business relationships with key market professionals, clients, and customers, serving as a key representative of Metro Bank Plc in the commercial market.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage risk, including credit, operational, and regulatory risks associated with commercial lending.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver required propositions and pricing requirements, ensuring alignment with risk policies and reporting frameworks.
• Provide support to Commercial Analysts in lending fulfillment, promoting collaboration and efficiency across teams.
• Maintain a strong understanding of financial crime, AML, KYC requirements, and conduct expectations.
Requirements
• A proven track record of commercial lending within corporate banking environments, ideally with experience as a Commercial Banking Manager or equivalent.
• Strong skills in credit writing, financial analysis, and report writing for complex customer needs.
• A good working knowledge of risk management principles and practices.
• Familiarity with the regional commercial market in South Wales and Bristol.
