Main duties of the job
Adjust work schedules to reflect the service changes, and compile and update work schedules on an ongoing basis. Develop staff rotas to ensure effective service delivery.
• Ensure that absence reporting procedures are adhered to, highlighting absence trends and taking appropriate corrective action. Conduct progress reviews for staff on long term sick leave.
• Responsible for the day to day management of Domestic Services in area of responsibility, using appropriate methods, systems, equipment and materials to ensure standards are met, and supporting clinical colleagues to minimise the risk of cross infection.
• Ensure the efficient and effective use of resources within budget, developing and implementing systems to monitor and control resources.
• Ensure quality control systems are implemented, and regularly participate in the monitoring, to ensure the provision of effective services to all users
• To be involved in problem solving and the handling of conflicts
• To implement policies to meet legal, statutory, mandatory requirements concerning the management of COSHH, health and safety, control of infection and all other relevant current and future legislation affecting services within the remit of this post
• To participate in the recruitment, retention of staff and to continually review the existing
• practices to maintain value for money and the agreed performance.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
. To deliver an end to end first class service for all services on the dedicated contract. Ensuring all KPI’s are met, adhering to national cleaning standards, food standards and maintaining services within the budget.
• Ensure monitoring systems are in place to demonstrate the performance standards of Domestic Services to ensure that the service requirements and standards are being achieved and to provide the necessary level of assurance to the Division.
• Makes recommendations to improve the efficiency of set routines and work schedules to promote the improvement of standards & services.
• Excellent leadership skills to operational manage and lead the cleaning services team as well as providing assurance that there is sufficient and appropriate allocation of resource in line with the required cover to deliver the agreed service.
• Works closely with various client facing roles and other stakeholders to execute their role effectively. Creates a network of stakeholders and collaborates on a regular basis to achieve their goals.
• Proactively works independently or collectively to develop the team on fulfilling their KPI’s and continually updates/improves the requirements needed to maintain a high level of performance on site.
• To ensure timely management of direct line reports for all HR issues including recruitment, selection, induction, appraisal, annual leave management, sickness management and disciplinary issues.
• Sets objectives and goals for the team and what the next steps/ priorities are to meet those goals.
• To ensure service provision is met through effective management of rosters and supplies.
• To ensure a smooth & effective running of all domestic services ; to include full COSHH compliance, BICSc compliance, maintain full KPI compliance and ensuring all areas are fully compliant with the latest national cleaning standards.

• Precious Cleaning experience
• Experience of managing sickness absence, conducting staff appraisals and performance management
Qualifications
