HSBC Commercial Banking serves millions of businesses ranging from small, to large corporates, providing commercial customers with a full range of banking services including Global Trade Solutions, RMB solutions, multi-currency business accounts, payments and cash management, and wealth management and insurance, as well as a comprehensive range of financing solutions. International Subsidiary Banking (ISB) is CMB’s international proposition which aims to provide banking coverage to the subsidiaries of Commercial Banking (CMB) customers within the Large Corporate and Mid-Market Enterprise segments. The ISB strategy is to provide consistent, in-depth and dedicated coverage across the HSBC network with the end goal to deepen our relationship with our… customers.
We are currently seeking an ambitious UAE National to join our ISB team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.
In this role, you will:
• Support the regional Head of EMEA corridor in the development and implementation of a short, mid, and long-term strategic vision that enables ISB MENAT to drive revenue growth
• Cover Strategic Initiatives: In and Out-bound initiatives across MENAT region with a focus on key corridors and key sectors (i.e. such as Healthcare, Renewables, New/Digital Economy and other sectors as agreed with MENAT CMB Management)
• Focus on business growth activities such as MasterGroup prioritization, unbanked opportunities, product collaboration, pipeline and portfolio review with key markets
• Be involved in Initiatives that help professionalize our approach to client coverage supporting areas such as Sales Enablement (deck presentation, surveys etc..), Sales Processes (client planning, calling activities) and Sales Management (pipelines, sales & portfolio analytics).
• Implement ISB strategic initiatives on a global, regional and country basis based on an understanding of the dynamics of the ISB business across the region, and thorough analysis of both internal and external management information (MI) and business information
• Drive business development opportunities specifically in the areas of targeting New-To-Bank subsidiaries, increasing cross sell and driving revenue growth
• Cascade and implement strategy for ISB in line with segment needs
• Evidence customer centricity in business decision making and awareness of relevant research
• Provide technical leadership and support technical excellence by searching out external best practice, monitoring technical and professional developments, sharing knowledge and encouraging others to do the same in the best interests of HSBC and its customers
• Encourage and enable constructive cross-country and cross-business teamwork by demonstrating collaboration and matrix management in action and challenging actions and behaviors that are not consistent with HSBC’s diversity policy and/or the best interests of the business and its customers
Requirements
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Strong experience in corporate banking relationship management and business development
• Ability on Analytics & excel and data management capabilities
• Presentation capabilities would be an added advantage
• Able to work under pressure with Key Performance Indicator
• Ability to operate on a cross regional and cross functional basis
• Highly motivated and achievement driven with an ability to formulate and articulate sales strategies
• Well-developed communication, presentation, interpersonal, and influencing skills
• Excellent time management, planning, and organisation skills
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
• Graduation degree is a must – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit.
