Description:
Job Summary
• This role involves monitoring, analysis and resolution of queries pertaining to transactions of trade(Letter of Credit/Bank Guarantees/Documentary Collections) by effectively liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Adherence to DOI(Department Operating Instructions) while handling the queries is essential. Facilitating internal and external audits by way of submitting documents and clarifying queries is required.
• Frequent communication with stake holders to minimise the pendancy across regulatory portals would be required for this role.

Responsibilities

Strategy
• To provide Trade related Services to Customers and to meet turnaround times as per the Service Level Agreement & productivity standards.
• Comply and monitor Key Control Standards.
• Deliver Operations business efficiency target
• Drive adoption of digital banking initiatives of Trade Operations.
• Seamless execution and implementation of new Projects / Systems in Trade
• State of the art service… supplier.

Processes
• Ensure all clients request and queries are resolved within specified TAT.
• Ensure adherence to reporting schedules & escalate matters to superiors for advice.
• Ensure compliance with money laundering policies and procedures on an on going basis. Any suspicious transaction must immediately be reported to the Supervising Officer.
• Ensure strict implementation of Group policies on KYC and KYC guidelines and processes are followed effectively.
• Ensure strict compliance on Group Sanctions Procedures
• To confirm for having read and understood the Bank’s Group Code of conduct and related policies.

Risk Management
• Ensures a no surprises culture – no failed audits, No repeat findings, NIL High Risk ratings
• Establishes key control standard parameters
• Firstline custodian of Operational risk Framework
• Understands market practices, awareness of local regulations, group and business policies, business
• standard procedures and best practices
• Establishes a performance culture around Risk Management using root cause analysis and corrective action planning as key elements of operational risk management
• Proactively identifies, assesses, and mitigates risk issues
• Timely escalation of all incidents to appropriate authorities as per reporting framework

Governance
• Drive the implementation of new / change in Trade processes end to end from design, documentation to execution.
• Participate in Trade related – functional / technical discussions and contribute to digital process design and implementation
• Ensure facilitation and smooth rollout of Trade related system integration related initiatives
• Help to drive and champion systems migration, assessment of customer and downstream impact of changes in process / systems as well as propose alternative process workarounds.
• Drive implementation of the Digital Operating Model to help maximize operational efficiency and reduce dependency on manual efforts
• Ensure systems and process documents are kept update to date and reviewed periodically as required.
• Actively provide inputs for process improvements and ability to drive automation and implementation of desired end state processes.
• Drive cost effectiveness in the Branch operating model and ensure maintenance of best practices for property and facility management.
• Effective Implementation of the Operational Risk Framework
• Act as coordinator for various internal/external audits/reviews and liaise with various stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate information is provided.
• Effective stakeholder engagement to understand and fulfil the needs of internal and external clients
• Uses metrics to drive decisions around service delivery improvements
• Maintains and improve service levels & customer Expectations
• Improve efficiency, productivity , service quality. Identify and implement process improvements to improve productivity and reduce errors

• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Qualifications

Candidates are required to have-
• A graduate with minimum 8 years of experience in Trade Operations is essential for this role.
• Strong understanding of URC/UCP/URDG would be required.
• Intermediate level proficiency in Ms Office applications would be an additional advantage.
