Purpose of the role
The purpose of this role is to process all new home finance applications and prepare the case for the Underwriter. Communicating with various internal and external stakeholders throughout the application and completion journey. The incumbent is required to ensure service levels are maintained whilst being mindful of the Credit Risk Governance frameworks in operation within the Bank, such as KYC and Fraud Awareness.

Key responsibilities
• Process all new home finance applications to ensure high quality submissions for Underwriting.
• Ensure information keyed (ID, POA, Nationality) matches documents provided and update system where required.
• Work collaboratively with key colleagues, stakeholders & brokers.
• Full management of daily work queue ensuring efficiency and keeping within Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
• Full Task Management including raising underwriter tasks on the system and then updating UW when task responses received.
• Inbound Telephony / Broker Call Management.
• Instructing Valuations, raising Post-Valuation Queries and Liaising with Surveyors.
• Be clear and articulate in telephone conversations and written communication both internally and externally.
• Welcome calls to customers for vulnerability checks.
• Full Decline / Withdrawal Management.
• Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Demonstrate a “Can Do” attitude with brokers and internal colleagues and manage interactions to support the Bank to deliver an outstanding level of service and be recognised externally for doing so.
• Any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of this post, for which the post holder has the necessary experience and/or training.
