We are currently seeking an ambitious UAE National to join our Global Banking – Investment Banking team in Dubai, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets. In this role, you will be:
•… Required to work extensively in an integrated team environment with global investment banking professionals on ideas, pitch books and presentations across sectors and countries
• Focus on supporting origination and execution of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), Equity Capital Markets and wider IB transactions in MENAT
• Support the deal team by performing financial valuation; delivered through our coordinated coverage and global-local infrastructure
• Carrying out financial modelling (vis relative valuation analysis, LBOs, DCFs, Merger plans), and developing and presenting appropriate pitchbooks to senior bankers and clients
• Acquiring in-depth understanding of client needs and the market, industry and business environment. This understanding enables the firm to design customized solutions for clients – whether it is strategic initiatives like M&A, financing or risk management solutions
• Working on various sectors including Power and Utilities, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Healthcare, Infrastructure, Transport, Services, Building Materials, Corporate Finance, Real Estate, Banks & Finance Institutions etc.
• Working on a very wide variety of transactions with the HSBC team globally
• Also required to:
• Undergo continuous learning and enhance job specific skills over-time
• May be required to travel overseas as per business needs
• Pro-actively suggest and design improvements in process workflow, where applicable
• Take ownership of work done and having high execution capabilities
Requirements
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Education Qualifications: Finance Degree and CFA or equivalent is highly preferred
• Core banking skills: analytical skills; investment banking product knowledge (M&A, ECM, LAF etc.)
• Technical skills: Ability to lead on technical work streams such as financial models, valuation analysis (including cash flow based methodologies such as Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) etc.
• Transaction experience: Knowledge and experience of having managed end to end M&A transaction lifecycle
• Communication skills: exhibit professional and personal presence; actively participate in internal and external discussions; present well-developed and delivered narratives to colleagues and clients; demonstrate mastery of verbal / written / listening / non-verbal (body language) communication skills
• Initiative and judgment: act proactively; demonstrate common sense; work well as part of a team; constantly seek to further develop existing skills and accumulate new skills.

• Graduation degree is a must – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
